I stayed at The Grand Hotel Multan on 26 July while travelling from Karachi to Lahore. I had planned to stay overnight in Multan during my journey and booked this hotel based on the pictures shared with me on WhatsApp. Unfortunately, the actual condition of the hotel was completely different from what was shown in the pictures. The room was very dirty, the washroom was not properly cleaned, and the AC was not working properly. The overall hygiene and cleanliness were far below an acceptable standard, and the environment did not feel suitable for a comfortable family stay. The staff also seemed very unprofessional and lacked basic customer service skills. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to families or anyone looking for a clean and comfortable stay. In my opinion, it is better to spend a little more on a better hotel rather than stay here.
The rooms are generously sized, which is a positive aspect of the property. However, the hotel would benefit significantly from better maintenance and housekeeping standards. The air conditioning in our room was not cooling effectively, and the bathroom was not cleaned to an acceptable standard. We also noticed that the bedsheet was torn in the middle, with the damaged portion folded underneath, which should have been identified and replaced during room preparation. In addition, the sofa cushions had lost their support, and the mattress appeared to have exceeded its useful life, affecting overall comfort. The bottled water provided was of a very basic local brand. While this may not be a major issue, offering a better-known quality brand would improve the guest experience. We also requested a knife to cut mangoes, but were informed that none was available in the hotel. Ensuring the availability of such basic guest amenities would enhance the level of service. Another room we visited was in a poorer condition, with extensive dampness and seepage visible on the walls. Addressing these maintenance issues should be a priority to preserve the property's condition and improve guest satisfaction. The hotel has good potential because of its spacious rooms, but it would greatly benefit from greater attention to maintenance, cleanliness, and guest service.
The location is great, right on the main road. The rooms are also nice, neat, and clean. However, the staff lacks basic manners. I was sitting in the waiting area in such hot weather, but no one even offered me a glass of water. The staff is neither friendly nor welcoming, and they don't make guests feel comfortable.
Would NOT recommend Grand Hotel Multan. ⭐ ❌ Cleanliness: Room condition was terrible. Both the bedsheets and blanket had stains all over. The bathroom corners had dust and cobwebs. The toilet seat was broken and extremely dirty. Looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. Facilities: I specifically requested a non-smoking, clean room during booking. But the room smelled heavily of cigarettes. After 3-4 calls they finally changed the room. The ceiling fan was making such a loud, dangerous noise that it gave me a headache. Also, the room door key was missing which is a security risk. Staff & Service: Staff was very uncooperative. Had to call 3-4 times just to get towels, soap, and a clean blanket. Nothing was provided on time. Rates: The same room is listed on Booking.com for 3000-3500 PKR but they charged me 4500. They were asking for 5000. This is straight-up overcharging. For this price, with zero service and zero cleanliness, it’s not worth it at all. I do NOT recommend this hotel."
